Portrait Collar Tank

I made great progress with my Carmel road trip knitting project. The Classic Elite Provence yarn is a dream to work with, as it is 100 percent Egyptian cotton and yields great stitch definition. I haven't had a problem with "splitting" either, which has always been a problem for me with other cotton yarns.

Here's an in-progress shot (I wasn't really knitting in that position --- just wanted to get that ocean view in the photo). The red is really stunning --- a serious blood red.

In the spirit of road knitting, I decided to keep the design simple, and just began with a 2x2 rib for the hem band and stockinette for the body. The body is worked straight with no side seam or internal dart shaping. We'll see how it turns out!

  2. What a beautiful deep red. It is striking against the gray and green scenery.
