Yes, I realize I'm late to the party here, but I just pulled out the September 2010 issue of Burda to trace out the patterns for the skirt and coat from my previous post --- and was absolutely shocked!
Earlier this year, I recall some blogs commenting on the format change of these pattern sheets that made it much more difficult to trace. Well, now I know what they were talking about! I literally stared at the sheet for quite a while, trying to make sense of it all. The original format was already pretty difficult to read, but it looks like they condensed two very large sheets of patterns into one, making it even more challenging. I managed to trace out the skirt pieces, but I felt so tired afterward that I couldn't muster up the energy to trace out the coat pieces. Ugh, I guess I'll just have to get used to it!

I was already struggling before. Now I don't know what I'm going to do - perhaps mock up a lightbox or something?
There's just no way I can trace anything with accuracy otherwise.
Perhaps we should collectively take on Burda - a blog site dedicated to complaints about their new business model coupled with a boycott might do the trick! Sewers unit against business tyrrany.
Seizure inducing pattern tracing.
I am very late on the party too! Had no idea...I don't use Burda much and now I have more reason to avoid! But I love their designs...
I had the same reaction. I just stared for several seconds wondering where to start. I wish I could say it got easier. Burda is certainly making it hard for me to stay in love with it.
