NYT: Balenciaga in NY

For Balenciaga fans, there's a new exhibition opening in NY this week. Called "Balenciaga: Spanish Master", the exhibition will be at the Queen Sofia Spanish Institute on Park Avenue. Even more exciting is that there are plans for a larger show at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco in the spring!

How exciting! Maybe I'll be able to make a trip back up North to SF for the exhibit. Thanks for the info.

I imagined Balenciaga to be a more ostentatious designer. I LOVE the simplicity of these designs, especially the brown dress. wish I could go.

I want the pink dress and if I cannot have that, I would love the black.

I wrote this on an older entry and I was hoping you could answer my question. In March 2010 you made a jacket/coat and I wanted to know where to find the pattern. I can't find it anywhere. I would appreciate it so much. The following is a the previous comment I posted:

This is exactly what I'm looking for. If it has the back pleats on it what a find! I looked on the website, but couldn't find this pattern, could you e-mail a link to the actual pattern? Thanks so much.
