One of my favorite resources for silk fabrics,
Thai Silks, is having a pre-holiday sale -- 25 percent off all non-sale fabrics! Even if you can't visit, they have a great on-line store and swatching service. I like to purchase their silk dupioni, silk charmeuse and silk/cotton blend fabrics (especially the silk/cotton batiste, which is great as a lightweight lining). They also have wonderful silk organza in a variety of colors, which is perfect for underlining jackets and coats. Great quality and the service is always top-notch. Here are a couple of things I've made using their fabrics.
Parka: Silk/cotton blend (main), silk dupioni (trim)
Silk Wrap Coat: Silk dupioni (main), silk organza (underlining), silk/cotton batiste (lining)

They sure are! I stopped in yesterday, hoping to buy some silk ribbed linen. They were out of the "good" colors for me, so I thought I'd buy the undyed and dye it myself. Of course, a woman had just been in there and cleaned them out. lol
I managed to find a few piece to add to my stash, though, besides the black silk organza for my holiday jacket. :D
Gorgeous jackets!!!!
Funny, I'm working with Thai silks at the moment that I bought from a curtain shop that was having a sale. I have checks, stripe and a beautiful gun metal grey.
