Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your thoughts/feedback on my two skirt muslins! Everyone has a different perspective and it is so great to read about them and consider things that I hadn't originally thought about.
I decided to move forward with a modified version of this muslin because it is streamlined and less fussy than the tiered version.
I made a couple of changes to the muslin:
1. Took out that extra pleat in the center, which reduced the fullness but ended up looking more elegant.
2. Curved the hem of the flared piece so the sides are shorter than the bottom.
I'm actually finished with the skirt and absolutely love it! Unfortunately, my photographer is out of pocket for a couple of days, so I'll be back soon with the finished photos!

The muslin looks really good:)
ReplyDeleteI really love it. I have patterns I can adapt, but I hope you publish something that incorporates this piece so I can compensate you for your design!
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty, and looks like it wouldn't add to the hips.
